  17. Sorry for the delay in answering; I've been quite ill. Think I got so riled
  18. up the night of my original post on this entire matter (and not on any Amiga
  19. related matter) that my BP went off the clock.  Following morning I lost
  20. consciousness with a massive nose (and god knows what other holes (which
  21. shouldn't be there) in my head bleed.  Fortunately for me, unfortunately to
  22. those Usenet and Fidonet users who hoped I'd dropped off the edge of the
  23. earth (my doc tells me that I nearly did)my family came home just in time and
  24. got emergency help.

  26. I've been on my back, with my eldest son using Thor and AmiQWK to pick up my
  27. daily messages.  He tells me that Thor and my hard drives are going to have
  28. a smokin' battle if I don't clean up/reply/purge/ etc.

  37. Just to continue the previous quote in perspective....
  38. The issue was that things had been and were continuing very amiss in the
  39. North American distribution and production of the A4000T's with which AT had
  40. been luring and placating North American dealers, users, developers, etc.
  41. Visit a few dealers, do some math, ....the Sam Report (reputable or not)
  42. meant something.  Wonder Computers'collapse after only being able to sell
  43. 10 machines meant something.  In answer to the original post, I suggested
  44. that the matter should be put to a broader user base.

  51. 2.  Well Jim, I posted on Fido, we traded back and forth a few times
  52. with Jeff Grimmett, and I sent Asha Develder, by email,  a copy of the entire
  53. original post with an introduction, explaining that I was posting a reply to
  54. someone else who had posted Asha's cross-post and my reasons for so doing.
  55. Asha responded within the day; unfortunately I was not able to answer for the
  56. reasons which I described above.

  58. 3.  Quite frankly, Jim, while I've been an Amiga user since '88, and our
  59. family has Amigas coming out of its ears (I think that's why we can only
  60. afford Kraft dinner for supper) when it comes to comms, I'm a real newbie.

  62. I've figured out that Fido is on again- off again, who knows when your
  63. message will go through; and the 'Net' never seems to fail me.  And the fact
  64. is, both Jeff and Asha have as good access to this conference as anyone else,
  65. and since my response to the originating post was in this conference, it seems
  66. a bit silly to say..."coninued on Fidonet..."

  75. Maybe it was.  But now Gary Peak is working hard to gather input on behalf of
  76. Team Amiga to pass on to Olaf Barthel (of Term fame), now working on an OS4
  77. for the Amiga.  I understand that it was Olaf who asked Team Amiga for this.
